Cold, cloudy and rainy day. Weather says it's going to snow on Saturday. That's okay as long as it waits until Charles and family get here.
Made bread this morning, one loaf, and the rest into rolls for Christmas dinner. Boy did it smell good! Too bad a camera can't capture smell along with the photo!
We visited the library today, we are both voracious readers, John only reads non fiction books and I love mysteries and horror stories. Dean Koontz and Stephen King are my favorite authors. I got a Nook a few years ago and would rather read on it than a real book. I can make the print larger to see easier and I love not having to try and keep a book that doesn't want to be open, open so I can read it! In spite of that I bought some books from the discard today, a Dean and a Stephen one and another mystery one.
We ate lunch and read and napped this afternoon. Oh, I made some pumpkin fudge, it's a no sugar low carb recipe. Tasted a bit and it's not bad. Maybe it will keep me from eating stuff I shouldn't have!
John is starting on a new sculpture. He recently started a golfer he wants to make mostly using golf clubs. He'll have to find more to finish him. He also started on a steampunk shark! Haven't seen it yet.
We ventured out to fill the putt with gas and to Safeway to pick up veggies for stirfry. There was a cute young man ringing a bell for donations in front of the store. We asked him if he would dance to donations like the policeman we saw on facebook and he did! He did a good job and we left a donation.
Mom dropped off the Christmas Grinch movie she got us and we watched it tonight. Still love that movie! As we were watching the extras, we heard car doors shutting and soon the doorbell rang. It was the Madrid family out caroling and they sang to us! Pretty cool. They left us with some cookies and another song. That was a pleasant surprise.
